Welcome to my site.
I'm a writer, performer and storyteller with a particular interest in comedy and making work for young people.
My earliest memory is of watching puppets on a barge. I was hooked on drama the minute I was cast as 'poor hungry boy' in a school play, aged 5. (I went method and skipped breakfast).
I'm never happier than when immersing myself in a new story, through all kinds of media - which is why I work across platforms now.
I graduated from the University of Exeter with a first-class degree in Drama in 2006 and have been working in theatre ever since. In 2012 I co-founded Paper Balloon Theatre Company and am now Artistic Director. We make original theatre for young people and their families.
I am a member of the Kaylosia Comedy Collective, with whom I write, perform and shout shouty nonsense.
I also have extensive experience as an education practitioner, some of which is detailed here.
I'm very passionate about my work; I feel that anything you enjoy this much is worth working hard for.
I wear lots of different hats (some sensible, some not so much) in my job - you can find most of them detailed on this site.
Please feel free to get in touch if there's anything you'd like to know more about:
